The renovation at the Pomona College campus Millikan Building was multi-layered and the building floor sat well below the street surface. This required complex lift stations for the sewer and storm drain systems, which had to be built in stages along with grading and building operations. The site was tight with a very active campus and sensitive surrounding neighborhood, which made this project specifically challenging. Matt Construction’s aggressive schedule, under excellent project management, led this LEED Platinum project to a great success.
