Delta Pipeline completed the first Legoland Hotel for R.D. Olson in 2013. The hotel required the removal and replacement of a deep storm drain that ran under the new hotel footprint. By installing a storm drain bypass, working with the grader and installing 12 Filterra storm water management catch basins, we were able to help VE this portion of the project for an overall cost savings. Delta was then hired by Merlin Entertainment directly in 2016, to install the sewer, water and storm drain to meet a grand opening date for the new Ninjago ride. Merlin Entertainment then recommended Delta to PCL Construction in 2017, to install over 4,000 lf of storm drain along with other wet utilities for a second structure, the Legoland Castle Hotel. With many hours at Carlsbad Legoland Amusement Park, Delta became well versed in connecting all the parts and pieces that stretched across the project. Merlin Entertainment and PCL were gracious to invite Delta team members on the project, and their families, for a fun day at the park.
