Newport Beach Civic Center
Newport Beach, CA
When Newport Beach decided to build a new Civic Center across 20 acres of stunning ocean view property, they partnered with C.W. Driver, a respected general contractor since 1919. Instantly the pressure of professionalism, integrity and efficiency was established at our first Pull Planning and BIM meetings. The layers of commitment and partnership were well established. The project included a new City Hall, Council Chambers, Community Rooms, a Training/Command Center, and a 71,000-sf Library. Fourteen acres were dedicated to a park with 1.23 miles of walking trails, picnic tables, bridges, sculpture gardens and yes, a dog park… all of which called for a custom and complex storm drain system. The unique building layout created many tight and challenging areas for the installation of 12,000 lf of wet utilities weaving through the courtyards and walkways along with a complicated bio retention system. Delta was very excited when we were awarded the high-end Newport Beach City Center project. We hold great pride in this accomplishment.
